Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of terms
By buying from 555esim or using this site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service. We may update these terms as the service changes, and the date below records when they were last revised.
2. What we sell
555esim sells prepaid travel eSIM data plans for use abroad. We are a reseller: the eSIM profiles are provisioned by our supplier and carry data on local partner networks in each destination. We do not operate those networks ourselves.
3. Device compatibility
An eSIM only works on a device that supports eSIM and is not locked to a carrier. Checking that your device qualifies before you buy is your responsibility — the FAQ explains how. We cannot refund an eSIM that has already been installed on an incompatible or locked device, because installation consumes the profile.
4. Orders and pricing
Prices are shown in US dollars or Malaysian Ringgit. Where you pay in Ringgit, the amount is converted from the US dollar price at the rate displayed at checkout, which may differ from your bank’s rate. An order is confirmed only once payment has cleared; if a plan’s price or availability changes before then, we may cancel and refund the order in full.
5. Payment
Payments in US dollars are processed by Stripe, and payments in Malaysian Ringgit by SenangPay, which supports FPX online banking and cards. Both are independent payment providers with their own terms. 555esim never receives or stores your full card number.
6. Delivery
Your eSIM is delivered to the email address you give at checkout, normally within minutes of payment. Delivery includes a QR code, an install link and the manual activation details. Giving us a working address you can reach while travelling is your responsibility; if nothing arrives, check your spam folder and then contact us with your order number.
7. Activation and validity
Installing an eSIM is not the same as starting it. For most plans the validity period begins when the eSIM first connects to a network in the destination, and it then runs continuously to the end of that period whether or not you use the data. Any unused allowance is lost when the plan expires.
8. Coverage, speed and fair use
Coverage and speed depend on the local partner networks and how busy they are, and neither is guaranteed. Daily plans reduce speed once each day’s allowance is used, at the rate shown on the plan card. These plans carry data only: they do not provide a local phone number, voice calls or SMS. Reselling or using a plan other than for ordinary personal travel use may result in it being suspended.
9. Refunds
If an order fails, is never delivered, or the eSIM cannot be provisioned, you are refunded in full and we do this automatically. Once an eSIM has been delivered to you the sale is final: it cannot be refunded, exchanged or cancelled, whether or not you install it, and unused data is not refundable. The profile is issued by our supplier the moment your order completes, which is what makes it non-returnable. Confirming that your device supports eSIM and is not locked to a carrier is your responsibility before you buy. Nothing here affects rights you have under Malaysian consumer law that cannot be waived.
10. Limitation of liability
The service is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses such as missed bookings, lost business or roaming charges incurred on your own carrier’s SIM.
11. Contact
