Privacy Policy
1. Overview
This policy explains what 555esim collects when you buy a travel eSIM, why we hold it, and who else sees it. We collect as little as the service allows: buying an eSIM needs an email address and nothing more.
2. What we collect
For every order we hold the delivery email address, the plan and destination you bought, the amount and currency paid, and the resulting eSIM identifiers such as the ICCID. If you choose to create an account we also hold your login details. Basic technical data — IP address, browser and approximate region — is recorded to keep the site working and to pick a sensible default currency.
3. Payment details
We do not receive or store your card number, expiry date or security code. Card payments are handled entirely by Stripe, and Ringgit payments by SenangPay; each collects those details directly on their own systems. We receive only a payment reference and whether the payment succeeded.
4. How we use it
Your data is used to provision and deliver the eSIM you bought, to email you the activation details, to answer support requests, to process refunds, and to meet our accounting and legal obligations. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
5. Who we share it with
To provision an eSIM we send our supplier the plan code and our own order reference. We share your email address with the provider that sends the delivery email. Payment providers receive what they need to take payment. Beyond these, and beyond any disclosure the law requires of us, we do not pass your data to anyone.
6. How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require, currently seven years in Malaysia. Account details are kept until you ask us to close the account. Support correspondence is kept while it may still be needed to help you, and then deleted.
7. Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting data tied to an active eSIM may make that eSIM impossible to support.
8. Cookies and local storage
The site stores your language and currency preferences in your browser so it remembers them next visit, and uses a session cookie to keep you signed in if you have an account. These are needed for the site to work; we do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
9. Security
Traffic to the site is encrypted in transit, and access to order data is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affected your data we would tell you and the relevant authority without undue delay.
10. Children
555esim is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
